An economic update based on a world still dealing with COVID-19 and with insight into market verticals served by WHMA members.
• New Program: Workforce Training for Wiring Harness Operators -- Dave Hernandez, IPC vice president, education; Carlos Plaza, IPC senior director education department
Hernandez and Plaza will present a high-level overview of this new WHMA program and how it was developed and then provide a live demo of the course. WHMA member companies that attend this virtual conference live will receive a complimentary course registration (one per company) so one of their employees can experience this new program firsthand. • Validating Continual Improvement -- Scott Morris, Marvac, regional support specialist, and Randy Cherry, IPC director, validation services
WHMA/IPC-A-620 is by far the most widely referenced workmanship standard for the wiring harness industry. A globally implemented training program also has certified tens of thousands of specialists worldwide. Some companies want to demonstrate that they are qualified manufacturers of IPC-A-620 harnesses. But how and why? Scott Morris of MarVac and Randy Cherry of WHMA/IPC will explain.
